Hi @gogi100

Kindly make sure you are NOT deleting any jobs manually, as such data would be irrecoverable.

You can make use of “Data Retention Forecast & Compliance” report to get below details -

  • Backup jobs that are on each media or disk volume

  • Backup jobs that either exceed their retention criteria or need to be retained

  • Media that can be recycled and a list of media that cannot be recycled based on the copy retention

  • The amount of disk space that is freed and kept for each storage policy copy

  • An estimated date, including the time zone, on which a job is due to be aged

  • Reasons why data was not aged

Hi @gogi100

Can you try this as well? Double click the library, to see the mount paths mapped to it. Then, right click → View Contents → Sort in descending order of Size of application.

This will give you an overview of which jobs might be occupying the most space on the library. Depending on that, you can validate further when would those jobs be aged as per retention rules.

Thanks,

Sparsh

i received next

Please try this -

Also, when was last data aging run? Is it running via schedule or manually?

at last ‘Data Retention Forecast & Compliance’ is finished, but i don’t understand what i can do?

Hi @gogi100

Let’s say job 101 was supposed to be aged on 10th June, 2023 as per retention settings. However, you still see the job.

The report will display the reason on why the job is not pruned yet. You can take corrective action based on the report, followed by running “Data Aging” job manually.

Kindly raise a ticket with Commvault support team. They will be able to immediately guide you with next steps.

Thanks,

Sparsh
