Hello,

 

What is best practices Software Compression setting to reduces storage space? Automaticly its on SP but when are you suing compressie on Client and Media Agent? Or maybe turn compression off?

Turning on software compression will optimize space usage.

@Emils No its more when do you use compressie on Client and when on MA.

@Egor Skepko It all depends on resourcing, typically you want to offload the compression of the client to reduce the amount of CPU cycles used during backups, but that depends on the size of the MA and the amount of clients / streams running backups in parallel.
