Hello Community,

I’m currently in the process of migrating archive backups to Azure using Azure Data Box. I have a specific question regarding the overall size of data after migration. Could someone provide insights into whether there might be any changes to the data size during this process? If so, what kind of differences should I take into account? The Azure Data Box is attached as copy to storage policies with deduplication active.

Migration is from Azure DATA Box -> Azure Storage Account

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hello @Jakub.K

The databox is shown to us as a disk library when you set it up to copy the data.

It is then sent to the cloud solution and converted to object storage. This change is where the space difference would be expected and its a hard question to answer. It could be the same size or 20% more or so.

It is hard to say the size difference but Azure might be better to answer the question instead of CV.

Kind regards
