Hello All,

I’m a newbie, starting with CommVault and see these “Event Codes” on a Data Aging Job every day.

  • Event ID 97531656 Event Code 13:6 (Exiting with errors - some files may not have been pruned)
  • Event ID 9753162  Event Code 13:48 (Data is partially pruned due to database problem)

As stated, I’m a newbie at this and don’t know if there is something I can do about this or should do about this.

Any insight would be great.

TIA, AlanKeno

Hi @AlanKeno ,

I would like you to raise a support case to verify and execute the below steps.

To resolve the issue of data being partially pruned due to a database problem, follow these steps:

  1. Check the logs for any errors related to the database problem.
  2. Verify the current version of SQL Server being used.
  3. If the SQL Server version is outdated, apply the latest SQL Server Cumulative Update. Refer to Microsoft's documentation:SQL Server 2019 CU26.
  4. Before applying the update, run a CommserveDR backup.
  5. Suspend all running jobs and temporarily disable the Scheduler from Commserve properties > Activity Control.
  6. Stop all Commvault Services on the Commserve from the Process Manager application.
  7. Apply the SQL Server update.
  8. Reboot the system if prompted.
  9. Start Commvault services and open the Commcell console.
  10. Run the data aging job to confirm if the error is resolved.

Regards,

Wasim

Hi @AlanKeno, Has this been resolved? This needs to be troubleshooted from the DataAging.log in the CS and determined what seems to be causing the DA job to be interrupted. Based on the analysis it would reveal the root cause of the issue.
