Question

Data volume growth report for recent years

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Dear

I need to carry out a survey of the growth of data volume in my backup environment, a comparison of growth over the last few years.
Would anyone have a step-by-step guide on how to generate this report in Commvault?

This information will be necessary to justify the calculation of data growth projections for the coming years.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@Rafael Santos ,

You can get the information you are looking for from our Growth and Trends report.

https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/growth_and_trends_report.html.

The only thing is we only keep a years worth of data.

@HolowEd
Is there a way to keep these data longer than 12 months?

Thanks,

Ralph

ttps://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/configuring_retention_settings_for_metrics_reports_data.html

I don’t know if this applies to that report, but we can increase retentions in Metrics reporting.

Thanks,
Scott
