Good morning!

##########################

Environment details:

CommVault server: Win 2022 STD

Version: 11.36.35

##########################

I have a small problem creating the plan on the command center. The plan automatically adds a synthetic backup; I do not have an option to remove it.

The Backup target is StoreOnce, which does deduplication and compression. synthetic will add more load on the Storage hence want to remove it. pls help.

Hello @CommTech ,

I used REST API do remove the Synthetic Full schedules as there were dozens of plans.

Or you can do it in the CommCell Console: Policies - Schedule Policies - select schedule - Edit - remove the Synthetic Fulls schedule.

Hi Lubos, Thanks for the reply.

Please share the instructions on how to remove it from the plan using the REST API. I never did this before. Documentation like also fine. Appreciate your support.

Hi @CommTech ,

If there are few plans only, much easier is to do it in the CommCell Console. Goto Policies - Schedule Policies - select schedule - Edit - remove the Synthetic Fulls schedule.

Hi Lubos,

CommVault version 11.36.35 onwards, CommCell Console is not available. Only Command Center access is provided.

Hi CommTech,

CommCell Console can be enabled by support on demand. You can create a case and ask for CommCell Console access.
