We wanted to move backups of clients with disk library from one commserve to another and would like to continue the backups to the same disk library on new commserve. How can we achieve this?

Sai,

In order to move Clients and Library Data to a new Commcell you will need to perform a Commcell Migration.

https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/commcell_migration_overview.html

It is best to perform this with the assistance of a Support Ticket.

Please Note that after the Migration, the migrated logical Library will be Read Only.  It can be used for restores, but not for new data.

To continue to use the same Physical Storage for new backups you will need to create a new Logical Library Pool within CV.

@sai , Link below for Migration consideration for Commcell Migration

As mentioned already by Z-man, disk libraries will be migrated in readonly mode.

Excerpt from the doc article below for quick reference.

Libraries

The mount paths associated with disk and cloud libraries are migrated as read only. You can use these mount paths only for restore operations. You can not perform backup operations.
