StoreOnce Catalyst Media Write Operation Failure

Hi All,

I'm trying to do MSSQL backup. The database size is 450TB.

Our disklibrary is HPE StoreOnce catalyst.

Some time after running the job, the backup job fails to complete due to "Media Write Operation Failure-HP StoreOnce Media-Error writing to media".

What is causing this problem?

cvd.log and hpcatalyst.log from the media agent (source in the screenshot) would reveal some details.

I inspected it but I didn’t find anything.

By the way, our MA and SQL server are the same server.

StoreOnce is directly connects to the SQL server.

Pls open a case then with support or share these two logs here if possible.

I can't open a case unfortunately. Because, this is a POC environment.

I think the problem is caused by the StoreOnce. I didn't find anything in the storeonce event logs. I need to prove the cause of the problem.

If cvd is the one who throws the issue to JobManager, it will record in the log the failure in writing to S/O for sure.
