tape identification

Im trying to recover a document that seems to be on an older tape
Is there a way i can identify which tape it is stored on from the document information?

Hi @Peter.Y 

Assuming that the document was backedup from some file system. Please see if you can use the below documentation to browse to the doc.

Once located, it should automatically request for the correct tape.

if you enter the browsing & restore dialog, you can check for the required media (you might need to pull backup from an offsite vault), before actually starting the restore.

this might return more media, as really required (depending on the type of job and its content), but the required one is at least one of the returned 😉

I could not find the equivalent function in the Admin Console 😥.
