Is this a DDB backup or a WinFS backup?The event logs on the OS is going to show you the actual issue, CommVault’s logs usually echo whatever problem the OS reported, but you should be able to find that in filescan.log typically.

Thanks for the assistance, the issue is OS related, disk has got a lock - write protected.
