Hello dear Commvault users and Commvault specialists,

Our libraries are growing unexpectedly. Initial analysis revealed no visible errors. Our two media agents show readiness check OK. The Disk Library Growth Trend report shows data growth, but says not what exactly is the cause and doesn’t show where (which sub client) is the most growing object.

That is why my question is, what options are there in Commvault to check the data growth to identify the sub clients, which are growing at most. Our Commvault version is 11.32.23.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Hi @Eugen,

Easiet way is to check storage policy associations from Librarry properties and then use summary tab from the storga epolicy to understand data utilisation.

Suleman

You mean first to check the associations under properties of a Library in order to see which Storage Policies are associated to that library and then to open up the properties of those associated storage policies and check the tab with data utilization, but what is the name of that tab with data utilisation?Under Storage Policy I see following tabs: Genera, Copy Precedense, Associated Sublclients, Content Indexing, Snapshot, Security, Advanced and Audit, but under no one of them I see the data utilisation..

Hi @Eugen ,

My apologies, not storage policy summary tab. We will have to look into the DDB associated with the storage policy and check the size.

Ok, great. I will check it. Can you please also write the differences between Total Application Size, Total Data Size on Disk and Total Estimated Media Size?
