+1Hello, I'm trying to perform a restore using a test environment.
I'm trying to restore the VM using tapes. The backup server and media agent are not on the same server.
When I start the restore process, I can restore the index, view the VMDK files, and start the restore pointing to a VCENTER and the datastore with space.
The restore starts and reaches 92% and fails. The error message says that communication with the media agent has been lost.
Has anyone experienced this and can help me?

We need to look into the vsrst.log/cvfwd.log to check if there is any network drops between accessnode and MA
If possible try to create a oneway firewall between accessnode and the MA

The environment is homologation, master and media are the same servers and the access node is the same machine, do you think this could be causing a problem?
Should I create a new Linux-based access node?

If its the same machine then we need to check if any process is crashing or whether interprocess communication is failing
We can get more clarity from vsrst.log/cvd.log
Can you raise a support case to check this further ?
