I enabled the Worm storage lock on one of the production environments, but I don't know what effect it will have. I want to test what the WORM storage lock actually does on Hardware as well as on our backup data.

The DDB will automatically seal on a regular basis, I believe aligning with retention, and you can expect to see up to 3x space consumption on the storage. The DDB must be sealed regularly so the jobs can re-baseline in order to allow for the older data to eventually be aged off.
