Hello

I haven’t scanned through all hotfixes, thought I’d ask in here first.

Seems that the behaviour is somewhat different for an old commcell and a newer installation.

Earlier when we retiere a client the client identifie was changed and a R and a number was added.

Now when we do it the client identifier isn’t changed.

Was that change din any maintenance release?

Hi @Henke ,

Good day!

I have gone through your query and while checking internally i can see the behavior is changed from SP32.42 under hotfix 10180 , SP34.11 hotfix 9186 & SP36 base  as it was affecting other features

Ref: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/files/service_pack/updates/11_32_65.htm

Hope i have answered your query

@Sureshkumar S Thank you for the answer.

It doesn’t really say that the behaviour was removed, so it’s hard for customers to know whats really done.

But I get it its removed.

Regards

Henke

Thank you

Hi @Henke ,

Thanks for your response.

As previously updated, changes in behavior are anticipated based on the highlighted versions. I have confirmed this internally.

The behavior was adjusted because the naming convention was impacting other areas, such as billing with a retired client.

Since this is the sole reason for the change, I was unable to obtain additional information regarding the behavioral adjustment.

Regards,

Sureshkumar S
