Best practices NDMP Intellisnap backup

Goed Day,

 

I am trying to set up Intellisnap backup for the HNAS client, what is the best practices set up for, and do i need to add HNAS LUNS to the access node?? 

 

I am using CV 11.32( wil be upgrading to 36 in 2 weeks)

HNAS 15.3 ( Hitachi)

Hello ​@Egor Skepko There should not be the need to present the LUNS to the access node specifically for Intellisnap. Please do check the system requirements for HNAS: NDMP Agent: System Requirements, you have to create a NAS client for the same: Adding a NAS Server for NDMP Backups

@Rajiv Wel when i run the backup, i am getting next error: 

doSCSIInquiry() - SCSI Inquiry failed. 1:Failed to get CvDevice for device [{type:native_hnas,targethostname:xxxxx.amg.local,path:/__VOLUME__/BTN_NAS-11_P01-FSTEST6,fspath:/__VOLUME__/BTN_NAS-11_P01-FSTEST6}]. Error:[0x80070306:{CvDeviceTree::getDeviceExt(453)/W32.774.(One or more errors occurred while processing the request. (ERROR_ERRORS_ENCOUNTERED.774))-Failed to get a CvDevice Instance for {type:native_hnas,targethostname:xxxxx.amg.local,path:/__VOLUME__/BTN_NAS-11_P01-FSTEST6,fspath:/__VOLUME__/BTN_NAS-11_P01-FSTEST6}}]

 

Its ndmp username is correct, so i guess its its missing luns on acces node to

@Egor Skepko the issue is specific to a share or all the shares are not working? We would need to review the logs and the configuration to understand the problem here.

@Rajiv No its only one share i am using for Intellisnap, do you want me to send logs to commvault?

@Egor Skepko it would be great if you can raise a support case to get this investigate along with the logs and Commserve DB.
