Dear Commvault Community

i have a failed backup Job for vmware backup. here is for the error description

Error Code 91:30 - Unable to open the disk(s) for Virtual Machine [VM]. Please ensure that the proxy is able to communicate with the ESX host and resolve the ESX host address. Also verify that the disks types configured to the virtual machine are supported.

i`ve allready change all transport mode, from auto, san, nbd, sslnbd. but it still failed. anyone has solved this problem before?

Thank you

Hi @Muhammad fahri ikhsan

Thank you for the question, this sounds like the proxy is unable to reach the ESX host.

Please review Entering Required Firewall Settings for the VSA with VMware.

Potentially the proxy selected to perform this backup job is unable to communicate with the ESX host to open the VM disk.

Thanks,

Stuart
