 Hi All.

Just wondering if it’s possible to disable Commvaults try to contact api.skyhookwireless.com:443?

The api.skyhookwireless.com:443 is being used by the CVD service to verify a servers location, which we do not need.

But still, Commvault uses energy on trying, our firewall uses energy on stopping Commvault from trying, our customers asks why our backup solution try’s to contact some unknown service on the internet.

Anyone knows if this is possible?

Regards

-Anders

Hello @ApK

The use of that location tracking it noted here:

https://documentation.commvault.com/2023/expert/4787_external_urls_for_commvault_features.html

You can disable this at many different levels including Commcell wide.
