When I add a new subclient for Amazon vms and for content I select a region, will it automatically back up any new vms added to the region? The subclients do not have the “all unprotected vms” option.

Thanks

Hello @Top Jimmy ,

I would suggest to set the content using a Rule here, In the Rule you can then specify the Region Name.

Documentation on content configuration (including rules) is here: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/30986_adding_subclient_content.html

Best Regards,

Michael

Thanks @MichaelCapon . I guess my main concern is that new vm’s get automatically added to backups?

Anytime you aren’t using the default sub client, there is no auto discovery.

You would need to setup a rule as Michael suggested.
