Hello everyone,

I’m currently testing VM replication from Azure to Azure (CS SW 11.32)

I’d like to know if leaving “Auto” in the Virtual Network setting in the Recovery Target, preserve the same network of the source vms to the replicated vms in case of planned/unplanned failover.

Thanks and regards

hello @Ivan Galli

It depends on your needs. The default value is "Auto," which will preserve the same network as the source VMs. However, please note that static IP addresses from the source VM are not replicated to the Recovery Target VM.

If you choose "Not Connected" or don’t select a destination network, the virtual machines will be replicated with their network interfaces in a disconnected state.

Hi Mohamed, I done the question because the customer has tried a Test Failover (not a Planned failover). He noticed that the target VM didn’t preserved the Virtual Network of the Source VM.

I would like to avoid having to configure a Recovery Target for each source network.

Thanks and regards
