Are there any issue and/or does Commvault support the CommServe in allowing VMware to Vmotion the CommServe from one esx server to another esx server while the Commvault CommServe services are running?

Thanks

Hi @Nick

I’ve been running my Commserve(s) like this without any issues since 2016.

This could only be a problem if your ESXes are overloaded and slow. Which is something that almost no VMware admin should accept 😉

Laurent.

Nick,

Good afternoon.  There should be no issues with Vmotion of the CommServe.

YEARS ago, SQL didn’t like being vMotion’d, but that hasn’t been an issue for a while as far as I know.
