Hello @ManiD

I believe you are trying to take backup of vCenter before decommissioning it?

Please take a look at this document once: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/32029_protecting_and_recovering_vcenter_server.html , it should help.

Hi @ManiD ,

When the vCenter is running on a virtual machine, you can use an application consistent backup using the VSA to protect the virtual machine as well as the vCenter database and files. I would also suggest taking a final backup of VMs hosted on the vCenter as well, as it will give you an opportunity to perform restoration for individual VMs.
