Full backup and replication

Hi

i’m using commvault to backup my vmware environment.

I have a DR site, and i use commvault to replicate, once a day, vms from main site to DR site.

Backup and replication are working well.

I applied a 1 month retention and i schedule an daily incremental with a weekly full.

Just fews VMs are replicated. On these VMs, i noticed that there is no more weekly full backups. The weekly full was replaced, i guess “automatically”, by synthetic full.

I would like to know if there is away to have a weekly full backup, and a synthetic one for replication ?

    Hi @Patrick Bidondo ,

    The best way to achieve this would be to create a new Backupset/Subclient and add the VMs you want to Backup.

    i think it’s working the only issue is that commvault now replicate the full backup that we configured on the new subclient instead of the old one is there any way to not replicate the full (it’s consuming a lot of time and bandwith) ?
