Hi,

I'm facing an issue after deploying the CommServe OVA on a Linux-based system (Rocky Linux) under VMware.

After deployment, when I check the services, I get the following error:
systemd-coredump[55307]: Process 54709 (dotnet) of user 0 dumped core.

The CVWebserverBridge service is shown as N/A in the Commvault services list, and I’m unable to get it to start.

I’ve tried replacing the embedded .NET runtime with various versions (e.g., 8.0.14, 8.0.16), but the error persists. This leads me to believe the issue may be with the OVA itself, or the image might be corrupted or misconfigured.

I'm currently using Commvault version 11.40.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or is there an updated OVA or workaround available?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @simone,

I want to deploy the same. Where did you get that image from?

Thank you,
Lubos

UPDATE: Solved. The image is here: https://cloud.commvault.com/commandcenter/#/downloadCenter/downloads/32651

Hi @Lubos Dvorak,

Have you had a chance to try it out yet? Is everything working fine on your side?

Thanks,
Simone

Hi @simone ,
I deployed successfully under VMware 8.0.3 and everything is working fine :-)
I am happy that this commserve linux image is available for deployment 👍

Thanks,

Hi @Lubos Dvorak ,

Great to hear! It’s working for me now as well, seems like something was updated on their side.

It would be great if they could do the same for the Media Agent as well 🙂

Thanks,
Simone
