Hi,
We upgraded our Commcell from 11.34 to 11.36.28. Since then, our AppAware SQL Server backups are having issues.

The AppAware Backup Copy job for SQL Servers is not working anymore since the upgrade.

HI
Can you check this Forum:
The setting is nEnableHypervisorAppConsistentBackup
This was placed on the Media agents/storage Hyperscale nodes.
Name: nEnableHypervisorAppConsistentBackup
Category: Virtual Server
Type: Integer
Value: 0
Enable: Box checked
This reverted App Aware backups to work as they did before upgrading to 11.32 or above. You will need likely need to restart Commvault services on the media agent/node once applied.
This is also in our Documentation below:

Hello
I checked that post but it doesn’t seem to be related to the issue we’re seeing. That post seems to be regarding the error “Failed to replicate snapshots for subclient udefault] using DDR”.
The issue we’re seeing is with the AppAware Backup Copy job.
Kind regards,
Jeremy
Can you check that key in our Documentation link I sent you also.
Best Regards,
Sebastien
I did but it doesn’t look related. We’re seeing the Backup Copy job failing/go pending after the “VM Admin (Backup)” completed. We’re not seeing the “vss software snap not found” error when doing a restore, live browse or GUI mount.
In the meantime I also created a case with Support. I’ll update this thread when a solution was found.
Ok, you can still try that key as another customer had this issue after upgrading to FR34.
Sure, what is your TR?
Best Regards,
Sebastien
Looks like you have several V2 Indexing issues with SQL Clients has Status Critical below:
Hello Sebastian,
I checked the Index backups for the Storage Policy and they run fine, so no idea why it is reporting issues for the SQL clients.
Index Backup is working, that’s fine, but we are trying to restore some indexes and that is failing.
