We do not have an agent for Kafka.  If it is housed on a VM you could use the Virtual Server agent or a file system agent to protect the data itself. Depending on what underlying database technology that it uses, you may want to look at using an agent for that database management system.

What exactly do you want to backup?

Kafka is a streaming platform, which keeps persistent data in other things, like S3 buckets or RDBMS’s.

You need to protect that persistent data. But the ephemeral VM / container that is running Kafka could be protected with general VSA backups.
