Are there any workaround to migrate from VMware to OLVM? CV can migrate from VMware to Oracle VM/OpenStack and migrate from Oracle VM to Red Hat Virtualization (OLVM). Thank you.

Hi Aris,
Unfortunately there is no direct migration from VMWare to OLVM, as you’ve mentioned.
There are basically 3 choices as far as I can see:
1) Restore to Oracle Virtualization, then backup again and restore to RHEV/OLVM. There
2) Backup VMs at a file system level and restore into a VM at a file system level.
3) Rebuild the VM in RHEV, install the OS and do a guest file recovery into the VM.
Hopefully one of those methods is practical for your needs.
