we have a ovm manager in that 3 nodes are added , we created proxy in one of the node and we are able to backup vm in the same node and for vm in other nodes getting below error

Unable to attach disks for virtual machine [arc-orauat-db] to the proxy. arget Repository: is not presented on server

do we need proxy in each nodes ?

do we need to configure ovm as one with ovm manager or adding hypervisor ip

also we have oracle rac server with shared disk

how to take full vm backup of both

Hi,
Are you talking about Oracle Linux Virtual Machines?

The Node, that is hosting the  AccessNode VM (Proxy), requires access to the Storage Domain, where the VM is located, that you intend to backup.
If you have multiple Clusters, an AccessNode is required within each of the cluster.

Hi Ajal,
the proxy VM must be located in the same storage domain / repository as the VM to backup.

also have a look at these articles
Deployment for Oracle VM (commvault.com)

System Requirements for Virtual Server Agent with Oracle VM (commvault.com)
...
If a VM resides on a shared repository, the proxy VM must reside on the same repository.
...

Deployment Planning for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (commvault.com)
Troubleshooting - RHV0001: Backup fails with error "Cannot attach Virtual Machine Disk. VM is not found." or "The proxy could not be located in the cluster; please select a proxy running in the cluster." (commvault.com)

I’m not sure, whether you really use, what is described as Oracle Virtualization, or whether it is the KVM based Redhat Virtualization (on Oracle Enterprise Linux using Oracle VMM)
