I configured the backup of VMs created in the Nutanix hypervisor. Everything works except the backup of the VM acting as agent Virtual Server.
Its backup fails with the error "Proxy virtual machine is unable to backup itself".
What solution can I find to remedy this?

Hello
Essentially you need another VSA Proxy to be able to backup this VSA Proxy. A VSA Proxy cannot backup itself but can be protected by another machine that can be used as a VSA Proxy.

It is recommended to schedule any backups of VSA Proxies outside of the backup window of Virtual Machines, Since Snapshot on VSA Proxy whilst it is running backups (with guest VM disks attached) can cause problems with running backups and cleanup.
