Restore from azure VM to the same subsc. but keep original VM

Hi,

 

can you please just confirm to me that if Im doing backup from azure VM and I will do a commvault restore complete virtual machines to azure but I would like to keep also the original VM:

  1. clear in place restore box
  2. set up new name for the restored VM
  3. rest can be as default
  4. after restore I will have also prod server and also the restored server

@Stano Absolutely correct! Only other thing I would want to check on is whether the NIC is enabled upon boot up (If same DNS name). If it is, it could cause a DNS issue with the same name being on the network.
