We have configure Hyper-v vm backup to Tape now there was one requets from client to take monthly backups to Disk for those VM.

Since we can not create another sublclient for same VM backup, we created another backup setup then a deault subclien was used with Storage to disk policy for same VM.

Now, my VM licenses are counted twice, why is it so and if there is any other way acheive my target?

HI @techyogi ,

The license allocation for virtual machines is based on the number of VMs discovered under each sub client and the associated backup configuration. Licensing is generally calculated on a per-VM basis.

Since the VM in question is part of multiple subclients, it is expected to consume more than one license.

For a detailed explanation of license usage and calculation, please refer to the documentation linked below.
