Hi

Does anyone has experience how to backup Vcloud Director named disks?

Officially there is no support see: https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/backups_for_vmware_cloud_director.html

However, if you leverage intellisnap and you snap the storage backend then you wil be able to create backups, but do mind these are crash consistent. I hope with the new enhancement that VMware added in VCD 10.5.1.1 and VCD 10.6 that it will be possible for Commvault to address this and offer backup for VMs with independent disks.
