If the job is on 80 % thewn commvaul;t start over again with the job. If I look in the log the backupo is finished on oracle site. Commvault don't recieve the message that the job is done.It occurs after we do the upgrade to the new version 11.25.14.Any body the same issues?

I`v been back and forth with support on this for 2 weeks now, doesn't seem to be getting anywhere, figured i`ll ask here 11.24.21Exchange 2019i have a mailbox from offline DB , I create the offline restore point in CommCell console, then proceed to browse the mailbox for restore (big one ~80gb) to a different mailbox created for this job. issue is I'm getting throttling alerts in ExMiningAgent log , I've already covered the new throttling policy for Commvault article and added the service account, Exchange servers were restarted for good measure.article about policy:https://documentation.commvault.com/hitachivantara/v11/essential/93369_setting_throttling_policy.htmlalso added destination mailbox to policy (was asked by support)  , still same issue is the mailbox is so big and it gets throttled so bad after 24hours exactly job crashed before it can finish ,support asked me to add additional settings on media server and it didn't help (services were restarted)Name:nDMRSIDLETIMEOUTCategor

Hi, I cannot expand the current disk library because the created disk is MBR and I have a limit of 2Tb, I was wondering if I can add a second disk library to the storage policy while keeping the first one?ThksDario

My customer setup a Postgresql Patroni cluster. I found this description Patroni : Setting up a highly available PostgreSQL Cluster - CYBERTEC (cybertec-postgresql.com)If he backup one of the passiv nodes he got “Could not put the Cluster in backup mode”PostGresBackupParent.logAnalyzeResult() - eRRoR --  PQresultStatus indicates failure for SELECT pg_start_backup('name'). Error:ERROR:  recovery is in progressI would say it is the nature of a “not master” node to be in recovery status.Backup of master node cause no issues.I found no document in BOL how to configure a patroni cluster or howto backup it.Is it supported?

Hello Community ,Did anyone implemented or have an idea how to implement offline backup copy in Commvault ?Backup is being written to commodity servers with local storage attached .The goal is that once backup job or aux copy  is completed , the target media agent should go offline and it should come online automatically during recovery request or next backup/aux copy schedule .By any workflow or cv feature can we control power ON or power DOWN of media agent ? What are the best practices or procedure to implement offline backup copy .Regards, Mohit

Hi Team, Hope all are doing good ! we have many SQL servers which has 500 DB’s each, is it some option in commvault to run on-demand backup for  only one DB out of 500 DB’s. Hi all,   I have COMM Vault Version 11.2 installed in OracleLinux7. From time to time, a few Oracle databases v. 11.2.0.4  are  UNKOWN in COMM Vault dialog box. I have checked the permissions of the user connection -C##DBAAS_BACKUP, granted as SYSDBA-, as well as the user catalog and RMAN connection. Both are find, but for an strange reason, sometimes my connection is UNKOWN. However, if I change C##DBAAS_BACKUP to SYS, the connection comes back to OPEN. This is a weird behavior, since I have mentioned before, this specific user has all the permissions required. Any idea?Regards,  Laura

We are struggling to commission an HPe MSL6480 which has 6 drives. Each drive has 2 FC ports which in turn are connected such that port 1 connects to Fabric A switch, and port 2 to Fabric B switch and the HSX hosts are connected respectively. I’ve build and installed the lin_tape control path failover driver. The OS sees a device for each path. Does multipath need to be configured if so, can someone provide the process as linux is not my strength? Has anyone else installed and configured an MSL6480 and used with Commvault?

I find that workflows become incomprehensible due to the logging of “starts” and “loops” when in reality the changes in phase don’t capture useful information.Is there a way to manually add and update phases in the workflow? Thanks.Chris.

I have a storage policy that has 7 days, 1 cycle retention with two copies:  Primary and DR.  It appears that none of the incremental backups are replicated to DR.  Does CommVault somehow treat incremental backups differently than full backups when it comes to replication to the DR storage?Second question:  I just ran a full backup of a small production server, verified that it’s only on the primary storage, did right-click on the storage policy > All tasks > Run Aux Copy > select Copy: 2-DASH-to-DR > OK > and get “No data needs to be copied”.  I don’t understand how I can have so many backups, both incremental and full, that show as only being on the primary storage.  Does anyone have any idea why my Aux Copy doesn’t seem to be working?Thanks in advance for any help.Ken

We recently had to make changes (stig) to our VMware environment and changed to independent disks.  From my reading on V11.20  we now have to switch to using IntelliSnap if we want to snapshot the vm servers?  Is IntelliSnap another License that we have to purchase or will the option to enable IntelliSnap show up after we have defined an Array?  We were using the provided VMware client to take snap shots which was working fine until the change to independent disks was made.  Now we get Independent disks are not supported error. 

I have about 100 subclients in a backup set that I would need to move and I rather not have recreate them with their distinct settings.As per the screenshot, I have 2 backup set under VMware and I would like to move some subclients from defaultbackupset to t320 servers.Is that possible?

Just had a question about SSL certificate  Web service uses IIS and Command Center uses Tomcat; we have a yearly task to renew the SSL certificates  on Tomcat however did not see any steps to update IIS certificate; what services are supported by IIS and which ones are by Tomcat web server; and how do I check the certificate assoication in IIS; I am aware of how to install new cert on Tomcat webserver.   Also, the servers which host these 2 services (different from Commserve); as web-proxies to connect the Internet based clients  on a custom port ; as I  understand changing certificate on tomcat has no bearing on the communication from multuiple clients back to Commserve via web proxy

Hello, Backup of one of my SQL DB is failing with error “Database is in autoclose mode”On checking with DBA, they said that DB is in auto closed mode. But I am able to backup other DBs on same instance which is in auto closed mode.

When trying to do a restore I get the error “The index cannot be accessed. Try again later. If the issue persists, contact support.” I checked the Data Recovery Job History and the errors state it’s trying to restore the index and the media (tape) isn’t available. The tapes it is looking for are bad and no longer exist.This happens for jobs going to tape or disk. I would be fine with deleting the index and starting over, but I can’t figure out how to do that either.Thanks for the help.
