Hi Team,

I had just added new SQL server into Commvault but while scheduler job is running i am getting below error

Description: Failed to validate the credentials for instance [<instance name>]. Please make sure the provided user [c<username>] has the sysadmin role.

Make sure that the service account has the Sysadmin role in SSMS and has local admin rights in Windows.

Seems pretty straightforward the account you are using to do the backup does not have the correct rights in SSMS.

You might want to obfuscate things like server names and account name in future posts.

@christopherlecky is right (as usual).

I edited the names of your instance and username out for your security.
