My boss wants me to backup the actual CV Magnetic folders on our libraries. Is this possible?

The CV_MAGNETIC folder (which is created when a mount path is configured) is, by default, excluded from backup operations if a MediaAgent and the Windows File System iDataAgent are installed on a computer. The CV_MAGNETIC folder must be associated with the MediaAgent that is installed on the computer.

To include this folder in backup operations:

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand to Storage Resources | MediaAgents.

2. Right-click the appropriate MediaAgent, and then click Properties.

3. Click the Additional Settings tab.

4. Click Add. 5. In the Name box, type nDoNotFilterGalaxyMagneticMountPaths, and then press Enter.

The values for all fields fill automatically.

6. In the Value box, type 1.

7. Click OK.

8. Click OK.
