Good Day @Honza,

You can absolutely use ThreatScan to analyze data that lives on HyperScale X, but you can’t run ThreatScan on the HyperScale X nodes themselves.

HyperScale X nodes are purpose-built for Commvault data protection and storage services, and they’re managed exclusively through Commvault’s own update and maintenance processes. Because of that, installing or running any third-party software on those nodes—including ThreatScan or other antivirus tools—is not supported. Doing so can interfere with performance, stability, and even data availability.

If you plan to use ThreatScan, it needs to run on a separate server that meets the documented hardware and OS requirements. From there, ThreatScan can scan the data stored on your HyperScale X environment without putting the nodes at risk.

Reference of the Requirements for the ThreatScan: node: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/commcell-console/requirements.html

Hope that helps with the information, let me know if any additional questions or concerns, thank you!
