Hi,

 

I’m implementing commvault on Azure VM, but I concern about commvault license on cloud.

Can I use commvault normal on-premises license or it’s forbidden?

Or should I use commvault license from Azure marketplace?

If I must use Azure marketplace license, Can I buy it by virtual operating instance or it supports only per TB ?

Hi Mostafa,

You need protected VM license in order to take the VM level backup. If you are installing the agent inside the VM then you need the VOI license. If the VOI is not available then it will start consuming the capacity license.
