Currently I ma looking to do a restore from one server to another one, but it’s failing due to different SQL server version in the commVault Gui. I’ve confirm the server both have the same SQL version. They are also on the same environment version as commvault ( 11.32.59). I am looking to upgrade Method to the same version as Insurgent .
Method SQL server version is showing 14.0.3475.1
Insurgent SQL server version is showing 16.0.4150.1

So, the first server is actually 16.X but not displaying correctly in the GUI?
Can you start a backup on that server let it run then kill it after just a few minutes it should update version info.
FYI for restores you can always restore from lower to higher but not the other way around. (MSSQL limitation)
Yes when the backup starts it will query the SQL instance to get the version and update the GUI
