Manual Upgrade of Visual Studio Tools for Applications

Hi.

Is there a supported way to manually upgrade Visual Studio Tools for Applications? I do not see any mention made of it.

Current release is 16.0.31110

Our customer advised that CVE-2025-29803 was detected in the current release. An upgrade should be done to version 16.0.35907.

Current Commvault release is 11.40.42.

 

I also don’t see any mention made in the Commvault maintenance release for this version.

 

Any advise?

Hi ​@Iggy ,

Commvault Systems does not utilize VSTA; therefore, this vulnerability can be disregarded from a Commvault perspective.
