Restore NAS (LFS) owner nobody

Hi,

 

When performing a NAS (LFS) restore of an NFS mounted on a Linux system, files owned by root are restored with owner nobody.

 

Any suggestion.

yeah, that happens sometimes for NFS mount points

it will depend on the type of permission that NFS has from the source machine where it is exported from 


its ideally a OS level issue that the Linux admin will need to investigate 


you can perform the same file restore to a local or /tmp mount point as a test 

and it should get restored with the source (backup) ownership and permissions
