I m trying to set up an on-premises connection to Azure SQL Managed Instance using documentation from Commvault. However, the link provided in their documentation seems to be unavailable. Could you please suggest an alternative Microsoft link or resource that I can use to establish this connection?

Hello @Rupankan Bhowmik

This section of MS doco goes over a number of different network scenarios that may be applicable for your environment:

Hi @Albert Williams

Do we have any other methodology than S2S VPN connection/site to connect and backup Azure SQLMI ?

Hello @Rupankan Bhowmik

The documentation does state that S2S is a requirement. I do not know of any other way to achieve this.

Hi @Albert Williams  After testing with a third-party application like Veeam  I found that it worked without requiring server-to-server (S2S) connectivity. Could you please verify if your software employs a different methodology to achieve similar functionality again?

Thank you.
