Can someone confirm whether when staging the DB the Command Center isn’t usable by design? The Console works but I can’t seem to get the web UI to load (Please wait while our servers start up. This may take a few minutes.). curl returns the fact it’s running. I replaced the signed certs and all that but it seems it just doesn’t function so I’m wondering if that is expected behavior.

thanks

Ah, my bad, I just assumed it’s Windows. ‘commvault list’ should list CV processes and if they are running. When we are staging (to check config, etc.) we use the ‘Staging’ recovery option.

Should work (we do this all the time), try running ‘iisreset’ after staging and confirming all CV services are running

Hmm, that’s what I thought but haven’t done one recently.

This is Linux. I can see spewing errors on the CommandCenter and WebServer logs about  RequestAuthUtil:addMachineAuthToken:140 - Machine auth token is null or empty for url:newserver.

I’ve tried recovering this DB a few times now, trying disabling MFA, etc, but can’t see what’s failing. From the Console PoV things look fine.

Services look good according to systemctl. I don’t see a pid for cvd though (should there be if I recovered using all the “disable” options?

thanks

Another “I can’t explain it”. Ran the recovery again without the other options and this time the Command Center is accessible. The inconsistency is frustrating sometimes.

thanks
