I am looking to up the debug level so my cloud logs show more detail. I remeber in the past creating an empty file in the root of the media agents did this for windows media agents, is there a similar method for linux.

I am wanting to see the curl errors and tls handshakes.

Hi @DaveK ,

Good day.

Please refer to the below document to set the debug level for the commvault logs.

https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/114289_configuring_log_file_settings_in_commcell_console.html

https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/5554_setting_logging_parameters_in_process_manager.html

For Curl error, I would like you to refer to the below link,

So are you advising that the method i mentioned is no longer supported? this gave a greater level of detail the enhancing debug levels.

The method i mention involved creating an empty file in the root of c drive on windows media agents that give you alot more detail when looking at cloud errors

Hello,

To troubleshoot the cloud library issue, CloudActiviity, and ClodFileAccess log will help.

Hello @DaveK

You are referring to the CloudLogHookDebug (if I remember the name correctly) file. This is no longer needed and Cloud Logs can be debugged from either Process Manager locally on the MediaAgent or in the Logging Tab of the Properties of the MediaAgent.

Thank you,
Collin
