can I upgrade my Commserve directly from 11.20.40 to 11.28.83 (2022E)?
I have windows 2012R2 on the CS (virtual machine) ,
This is CS and MA together in one VM .

As Windows 2012 R2 is deprecated in FR28 onwards, I would would recommend doing a Commserve Hardware refresh as per: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/commserve_upgrade_with_hardware_refresh_overview.html
The amount of work involved may seem quite extensive but the procedural steps are very good and thorough so should guide you sufficiently.
