Is there a way, additional setting or something like that, that could limit the number of jobs a backup copy workflow submits at one time? Running IntelliSnap on NetApp and when all of the copies kick off at once things get overloaded. Just wondering if there is a way to limit it. I know you can when you submit it manually, but the automated ones run max number of jobs.

Hi @Chet L ,

For some Backup Types / Agents, but not Backup Copy / VSA.

The only way is by staggering the Schedules.

Best Regards,

Sebastien

So, if a plan has 100 IntelliSnap subclients, it is going to submit 100 backups copies at once and there is no way to limit that other than making more plans. Which really wouldn’t help the issue either. Sounds like a flaw to me.

@Chet L - how many streams are you using for the backup copies and do you use the JAVA GUI or do you use Command Center exclusively?

Steams are set to default, which is automatically use the best. We use a combination. Everything has been converted to plans. All of the subclients are at default streams.

I think I found it. You have to be logged in with an account that has master access and you can only see it in java console, at least in 11.32. There is a System Created Backupcopy schedule policy. You can change it in the options there.
