I experienced slow incremental/synthetic backups due to limited throughput. I would like to understand if changing the default UNC path and indexing on the DDB will affect the backup process.

Could you please have more information about changing the default UNC path?
We need to review the logs to find out where the slowness. I would request you open a support case so that we can go through the log files
