Hi,
New to Commvault. We are trying to create a snap backup of an Oracle database to HPE3Par but this fails. ‘Strange(?)’ thing is that snap backups of the VM work fine. Do i need to configure something on the vmware/3par side? I can't figure out the error:

You need to configure creds for the array and enable inteli snap in oracle subclient. Backup agent discovers lun used for oracle db and will do the work on corresponding storage array.

yes we followed these docs and the snaps are enabled in the oracle subclient. and like i said, intelli snaps for the vm work
OS is baremetal or vm? Intelisnap expects sdb device is 3par lun not vmware vdisk and is failing.

Not supported, as you have virtualisation layer between LUN and OS/database. Not sure if it would work for lun in RDM mode.
