Hi, We have some Commvault supplied ova’s that are deployed in our environment running Oracle Linux. Recently there has been a CVE for VMware Tools and we were looking at ways to update that on these boxes. They don’t seem to be locked down like an appliance. Has anyone else had experience in updating VMware Tools on these?

Yes you can update the vmware tools (Open-VM-tools) on the OVA.
Note : OVA comes with Open-vm-tools not Vmware tools from Vmware
