Getting Started

I’m new to Commvault and started running some Virtual Server full backups and they seem to be slower than I expected. These are on thin provisioned disks if that helps. Any ideas?

As you get oriented, there are Vaulters standing by to help you. Here’s who to talk to, when.Your Sales team. Your Sales team didn’t go anywhere! If you have questions or need help, drop them an email or give them a call. Your Customer Success Manager (CSM). Not everyone has a CSM assigned. If you do, hang tight - they’ll introduce themselves to you, or your Sales Team will introduce them to you. If you have a CSM, they’re your first port of call if you have a question about navigating Commvault.  Need more? Need-to-know resources - websites and portals and apps, oh my! If you have a question, we’re here to help. We also have a great portfolio of resources that may expedite getting the info or solution you need - or are just great to bookmark. Here are the main resources that you need to know about as you get started with Commvault:Customer Support Portal. This is your hub for support cases as well as maintenance and security advisories specific to your environment. Set up your account and update your contact details. And make sure to set your preferred hours. If you have an issue the Community didn’t already have an answer for, you can create a case here. As you work through these onboarding steps, you should have everything you need to get started with Commvault.
