Is there a way to find out who made changes to a backup schedule? We are using Commvault v.11

Tape media marked as appendable and not reusable

Hi Team,We have facing issue in our commvault infra. While running auxillary copy job media marked as appendable its not full , after appendable is not reusableThis appendable media is not full, also tape is getting stuck inside the drive,if we can reuse this appendable tape without erase the existing data(because we data retention in 5 years) please share any solution for this issue

Is it possible to restore enterprise vault shortcuts from Commvault exchange (DAG) backup ?

Dear All,  Our mails and attachments are archived via enterprise vault and it will leave a shortcut to open it. Somehow we lost all the shortcuts in our mailbox. Is it possible to restore enterprise vault shortcuts from Commvault exchange (DAG) backup?Please let me know. Thank you.  Best regards, Rajes

Java gui job controller display... Remove username: name (number of jobs) ?

Trying to figure out why my Java gui display of the job controller is showing something like:Username: John.Smith (67)then listing out what I guess are all of the jobs belonging to that user.How can I get rid of that “username: John.Smith (67)” line in my display?

O365 Access Node vm: Can it concurrently perform the Index Server role as well ?

Team, I’m trying to maximize resources for O365 data protection. Can the Index Server role be added to an Azure vm that is performing the Access Node role ? CI is being used and I am aware I may need to scale up the vm resources. The data is being protected by an on-prem library and aux copied to an S3 library. Thank you!

modify content to backup on aws subclient

Hello, my aws backup jpb is configured like thisI am using intellisnapand I have selected the instances from By Region      Backup runs fine and also backup copy. now I want to change the content of the subclient, I do not want to use the default By Region  selection but By tag Can I remove all content, then select By tag and click on ok ? or is there some procedure to follow ?I know that one time I have tried to remove an instance from a subclient and after that I had a lot of error for the backup copy due to intellisnap I think. Thank you !!

Moving eDiscovery to another media agent

Hello,I’m new to commvault so sorry if my question seems pretty ignorant. But we have Email Journaling/eDiscovery - but i’d like to move it to another media agent. I’s like to keep the index server and everything else in place..but just change the storage policy to point to a new media agent.Would it be best to just create a new storage policy and assign the media agent to the new policy or is there a way to just change the media agent on the ediscovery job?Thank you

Aux Copy Streams Change "Data to be Copied"

Some Background - I’ve worked off and on with Commvault over the past several years and we currently are migrating data from a cloud-vendor back to on prem.  The question I have is about a behavior I’ve never noticed before, but is probably from a lack of experience staring this closely at jobs as they run rather than something going wrong.  I just want to understand it.The AUX copy that is currently running has 2 streams remaining.  Last Friday 11/22, those two streams showing the following information:STREAM 1:Data to be Copied - 4.06 TBData Copied - 263.63 GBSTREAM 2:Data to be Copied - 926.14 GBData Copied - 221.9 GBThen this morning I log in to check up on the job and those same streams now show this:STREAM 1:Data to be Copied - 3.43 TBData Copied - 575.65 GBSTREAM 2:Data to be Copied - 842.33 GBData Copied - 298.26 GBOver the past week as I’ve been monitoring these two streams I’ve noticed these numbers shift in a way that the “Data to be Copied” amount shrinks and the “Data Copi

HiIn the classic console, is there a way to eitherModify the Job Controller Icon, so by default it used a ‘filtered’ job controller view (without having to select the drop down on the Job Controller icon OR - Is there a way to add further icons to the ‘icon bar’ - and one of those extra Icons is a filtered view of the Job Controller

Error 91:73 How to restore a VM with a down ESX server

We have a windows vmware environment using intellisnap v11.30. There are 3 clustered ESX hosts. and just a couple of VMs. I am trying to do a full VM restore test, however the jobs fail because one of the three ESX hosts are down. During the restore, I select a different ESX host, but the restore error shows CV trying to connect to the ESX host that is down. Is there any way around this? Why is it trying to contact the ESX host that is down despite the fact I ask it to use another ESX host?Error code 91:73 Connection to VM Host <host that is down> has been lost. Please verify the VM hosting services are still running.

SuperMicro Appliance Fibre Connection Issues

Hello all.  We have 6 Hs2300s and 1 RO1200, all the same supermicro servers underneath.  We have 10Gb fibre cards in them. The Bios sees the cards, the OS sees them as physical interfaces, and we believe the SFPS, cabling and switch config is correct.However on both the Windows and the Linux it shows as network cable unplugged/no link detected, and the switch shows no presence on the line.We have a call raised with CV but has anyone else seen this?  Is there some setting in the Bios we need to apply?

OneDrive backup without OneDrive App

Hi All,Is it possible to add OneDrive to the backup content so that OneDrive folders can be backed up from each laptop without adding OneDrive App in Command Center?Adding a location doesn't work. Only such Cloud Apps are available  Thank you in advance for your help

File Duplicates Dashboard

Hi,Me again. Now regarding the “ File Duplicates Dashboard” (or other dashboards).The docs regarding this dashboard: https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=118036.htmThis report you can export to pdf/html.But that report only contains the “collapsed” first page:  So it doesn’t show all data in the report, and it’s not expanded. So pretty useless.Of course, that’s maybe expected for pdf/htmlIs there a way to export that in csv in order to have all information?

Oracle RAC Client for Unified Data Guard

Hello community,11.33.45Trying to configure the Oracle RAC Client for Unified Data Guard and reaching the point of setting up streams.The documentation states: "The archivelog subclient for the primary site should have streams configured only for the primary nodes; the streams for the remaining nodes should be set to 0. For the standby site, configure streams for the standby nodes only and set the remaining node streams to 0 in that standby archivelog subclient. " Question:Should this configuration be done at the RAC subclient level or at the physical node level? :If configured at the RAC subclient level, streams will be set to a value for primary nodes and 0 for remaining nodes. However, after failover, when the standby site takes over backup, since its stream is set to zero, the backup won't run... If streams are set at the physical node level, can the primary node see the standby node? Because according to the documentation, "the primary site should have streams configured only for

SQL Log Backup

Hey All, one question regarding the SQL Log backup.  We had 2 SPs  SPDB → FullSPlog → translog We are running every 10 minuts log backups and every 15 minuts auxcopy. The split is needed because after the full db backup the auxcopy take a long time. That we have the logs in DC2 we splited that the auxcopy for both SPs can run at the same time.  No we have the problem when 1 DB is converded to diff that the Hole job will associated to the SPDB SP.  Exampel: Server 1: DB1 / Recovery modus FullDB2 / Recovery Modus SimpleDB3 / Recovery Modus Full When the Backup job started it goes to SPlog when the second dbs runs the hole job is rerouted to SPDB.  Is there any possibility to prevent ths ? Yes i can create an new subclient for all dbs with simple recovery modus… But what happend when the dba create a new one.

Aftere Commserve IP Change - E-mails are failing to be sent

Hello,We have changed our Commserve IP and noticed that after the change E-mail notifications cannot be sent from the Commserve machine ( Alerts , reports etc. )Are there any Commserve IP dependencies for that matter ?  Thanks
