Hello, We need to quote the Commvault equivalent for HPE OEM part number S6Y28AAE (HPE CVLT HS EDGE 5YR SUB E-LTU) for a project in Brazil, as this must be routed directly via Commvault channels rather than HPE.I suspect the matching Commvault part number is CV-HSRA-NS-1N-51.Could anyone please confirm if CV-HSRA-NS-1N-51 is the correct 1:1 equivalent, or point me to the right SKU if not?Thanks in advance, Marcos

Hello Team,We have recently upgraded Commvault to Feature Release 11.44.25. Following the upgrade, we have observed few issues with the new version.One of the issues identified is related to VM Group Plan assigningIssue Description:When we create a new VM Group under vCenter and assign a Plan, the configuration is saved successfully. However, the assigned Plan is not reflected correctly in the CommCell. Instead, the Commvault Console automatically associates a different policy and storage pool with the VM Group.Even if we try to change the correct policy from Console, it will not get changed. Under normal circumstances, the policy and storage pool should be assigned based on the configured Region and Plan.Could you please investigate this behavior and confirm whether this is a known issue in Feature Release 11.44.25? Please also advise if there is any available hotfix or workaround to resolve the issue.We would appreciate your assistance in identifying the root cause and resolving this

I am looking for some advice and best practices regarding an upcoming migration project.   Hey All, I`m looking to see if a member of the commvault team / or community has noticed changes with their storage policies when upgrading from 11.36 to 11.40.The "Global_..." were created after the upgrade and I cant fully understand the reason. Has anyone seen anything similar to this before? Another behavior I noticed is around non dedup copies like snapshot copies. Within 11.36 during the Snap Copy creation, you could simple point to a media agent and create the copy, but since the 11.40 you must select a storage pool. Not quite sure the thought behind this, I can create a non dedup pool and create the copy but Im really just trying to understand the logic and why do we need so many pools.Similarly, all my current snapshot copies were Auto Associated to these Global copies from the screenshot. Is there a documentation stating the creation of these "Global" policies when upgrading to FR11.40?Thank you in advance.

For the cloud storage Commvault has published list of S3-Compatible Object Storage Vendors: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.40/software/supported_s3_compatible_object_storage_vendors.html How do you think are there any risks to use some S3 vendors not mentioned in the list? May be technical issues? Or we will lose support? For example, Leviia (https://www.leviia.com/en/object-storage/) states that it is “Compatible with the S3 API and major tools like Veeam, Acronis, Bacula, Commvault, Atempo, Cyberduck, QNAP, Synology, and more.  But it is not in the Commvault supported vendor list. Please share your opinion. Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone,While testing with available integration options in the ExaGrid interface, I noticed that Commvault supports only SMB / NFS, whereas Veeam offers the ExaGrid Data Mover and Veritas NetBackup supports OST.Why does Commvault not offer a comparable native integration for ExaGrid? Hi All, i found some informations regarding gateway but my enviroment was not available.  So we are using network gateway for customer agent based backup. Actually when we are installing an agent like sql or active directory we are putting the gateway ip adress during the installation into the commserve field. So the client is regstored to the gateway. Thats fine for now. Actually we are in the situation to add more gateway servers because the enviroment is growing up.  We are working with groups and firewall rules over the groups. No we have 2 Questions: What happend with the traffic if we add an second gateway into the group ?Is commvault managening the rounting over both automaticly ? If yes wich rules are used to put the traffic over node 1 instead of node 2 ? How is commvault acting with restores over the gateway ? as written before we registerd all clients over the first gateway. If we now implemnt a second or third one and the first one is crashed is the client communication sti

I recently configured a new Storage Pool that uses AWS Glacier Instant Retrieval as the storage target, and noticed today that it has been automatically included in the DDB Verification schedules.Documentation suggests that cloud-based storage libraries should not be automatically included in the DDB Verification schedules. Has there been a change to this behaviour? Does this happen for anyone else?

Hi all. I’m planning to upgrade from 11.32 to 11.40/11.42.Many of my agents (Oracle, MSSQL, file) and virtual machines are old installations and are still running index version 1. What will happen when I upgrade to 11.40/11.42, will they continue to use index version 1 or will they be auto “upgraded” to index version 2, or is this still a manual process so I can upgrade the index when I find fit? Cheers-Anders

Hi. our setup Broadcom VCF9.1.1 cluster 10 hosts, one VSA per hosts. VSAN ESA. 2 VDS, one for VSAN the other for the rest including backup traffic.We are migrating from a standard VMware 8 cluster to VCF9.1.1Now we are starting to have issue in VCF9.1.1. VMK0 is crashing during backups. We a had to limit the number streams per CPU for the VSA from 10 to 3 to keep everything under control. Any tips? 

all,I am configuring M365 mailbox backups.I have created an Office 365 Plan and set “Retain deleted items for 2555 days”I then created a Backup Plan with Primary to Disk for 365 days and synchronous AUX to Tape for 2555.Am I correct in saying that all mailbox backups from now with be Incremental and it ignores the Backup Plan retention and keeps all mail for 2555 days on Disk & Tape ! Also, is there a way to run a once off Full backup ? Currently on 11.36 Thanks
